Violation Enforcement
I violated a toll lane, what should I do?
The Expressway Authority understands that customers may on occasion enter a toll plaza without proper funds. To correct the situation a check or money order can be sent to Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, Violations Enforcement Section, PO Box 585070, Orlando Fl 32858-5070 with the following information: Name, License Plate Number including State, Date(s), Time, Plaza(s) and amount of unpaid toll(s). However if this has happened more than once you may want to contact our violation Enforcement Department at 407-690-5200 and have them check your license plate for violations. If violations are left unpaid they may lead to the issuance of a uniformed traffic citation, a hold on the vehicle’s registration or a driver's license suspension. This would include states other than Florida which have reciprocity agreements with Florida.
I went through an E-PASS lane by accident, what should I do?
If this is your first accidental violation, you should do nothing. The Expressway Authority understands that customers may on occasion confuse the lanes and not have proper funds or equipment for them. The Authority only prosecutes customers who accumulate more than three violations.
I always put my money in the coin basket, but sometimes the light stays red and I violate the toll, will I get a citation?
No. The Expressway Authority only issues Unpaid Toll Notices (UTN) to drivers who have accumulated more than three violations in which the coin machine was functioning properly If you have received a UTN and wish to get detailed information about your violation record, contact the toll enforcement office at (407) 690-5200.

I received a Uniform Traffic Citation from the Expressway Authority, what should I do?
You may voluntarily pay the citation or you can choose to take your case to traffic court. Your choices are detailed on the Traffic Citation. If you feel you have been issued the citation in error contact the Toll Enforcement Office at (407) 690-5200. Any further violations will result in the issuance of additional citations.
What is the penalty for violating a toll plaza?
If three or more violations occur a UTN will be issued to the registered vehicle's owner. A UTN that goes unpaid will result in a Registration Hold with the Department of Motor Vehicles until pending toll transactions are paid to the Expressway Authority.
A citation issued for a toll violation carries a maximum fine of $186.00 and 3 points per citation. A citation paid voluntarily to the Expressway Authority is $25.00 with no points.
