(APOPKA, FL) – US Highway 441 (Orange Blossom Trail) is scheduled to close nightly starting tonight, May 8 through Friday, May 11, and also from Monday, May 14 through Friday, May 18, between Plymouth Sorrento Road and Kitt Road as part of the extension of State Road 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway). The road closures, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., will allow crews to work on the new bridge deck over the highway.
Detour signs will direct drivers to use the newly built connector road, across from Kitt Road, and Plymouth Sorrento Road to bypass the closures. Bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews. Please be advised that speeding fines are doubled when workers are present. Motorists are reminded to change lanes for safety when they see Road Rangers assisting other motorists or flashing lights – it’s Florida law.
